The Society was formed to ensure the preservation of Atwater’s Bloss Home, one of the town’s most prolific structures, and the history of its founders.

General meetings are held at the Bloss Home at 1:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month, except for December, July and August, when no general membership meetings are scheduled.

The annual meeting is a fundraising dinner on the third Saturday of September beginning at 4:00 p.m. This is our biggest fundraising event of the year, we hope to see you there.

For information on membership please email us at blosshome@gmail.com

Bloss Museum Open House

The Bloss Home Museum and beautiful lush grounds are open for free guided tours on the first Sunday of each month, with the exception of holidays and super bowl Sunday, between the hours of 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

School and special group tours can be arranged by contacting the society.

The Museum’s docents are very knowledgeable with the history of the Bloss home as well as the history of Atwater and are eager to share their knowledge with you and share this beautiful Atwater treasure with all those who are interested.

Other sites of interest are Bloss Memorial Library, built in 1925 in memory of George Thompson Bloss and now housing the Atwater Chamber of Commerce, Bloss Park, and the Atwater Women’s Club which was built in 1926 on land donated by Edna Thompson Bloss.
